Michael Martin joins SP&H to
Launch Fiduciary Advisory Initiative 

Michael Martin, the former Chairman of the Board of the Century City Chamber of Commerce and current Instructor at UCLA Extension has joined Nevin Sanli and Tom Pastore at their firm.

Mr. Martin will create the firm’s Fiduciary Advisory Unit that will educate Fiduciaries of the ever-evolving risk associated with the handling of others’ money and the higher Standards of Care that are present for Officers, Directors, and Trustees, especially for Endowments, Foundations, and Retirement Plans.

Jim Greene Joins SP&H

We are pleased to announce the appointment of James L. (Jim) Greene as Director of Business Development.

Jim has more than eighteen years experience in marketing and business development for a wide range of professional services firms including valuation, financial advisory and consulting in Southern California.

His prior experience includes service as Vice President & CFO of a publicly-traded insurance and financial services firm where he was also an officer of their mutual funds investment advisor and an NASD principal of its broker dealer distributors.

We do not have conflicts-of-interest in any transaction in which we are retained to issue fairness, solvency or valuation opinions.  SP&H is a specialist business valuation firm; our only endeavor is producing qualified opinions of value.

At SP&H, we ensure that we do not have a contemplated interest in the outcome of any transaction in which our firm issues an opinion.  Our fees are not contingent on the close of the transaction and we have no further financial or other interests with the parties.   Further, we can safely certify that we have no interest in trying to sell any other products to any of the parties to a transaction.

Our opinions are based on the facts and circumstances of the transaction.  We are not influenced by peripheral or ancillary non-deal considerations such as contingency fees and pre-deal or post-deal services to any of the parties to the transaction, company executives or board members.
